Project Responsibilities
Peter's responsibilities for Operation Stop Core include:- Designer - responsible for writing the Game Design Document
- Models - loading up and managing object models as well as code to animate characters
- Textures - loading and managing all texture assets
- World Editor - tool used to easily construct the 3D game world
- C/C++ Programming (6 years of experience)
- Graphics Programming (3 years of experience)
- Physics Programming (1 year of experience)
- Interface Design/Programming (2 years of experience)
- Visual design - Photoshop, GIMP, 3DSMax (5 years of experience)
Other Projects
Peter Has been involved in Several other projects at DigiPen. His more recent successes include:
- Thelema - A side-scrolling action game in the style of Bangio or Robotron.
- Urban Racing - An overhead 2D racing game.
- Identity: Lost - A text-based mystery adventure game.
Thelema
Peter was Producer for Thelema, which involved compiling weekly production reports. He was in charge of developing the code handling 3D model loading and animations. This required that he write a 3DS model converter. He implemented multi-layer paralax scrolling for the game. He also constructed several particle systems to enhance the visuals.
Urban Racing
Peter was the Producer and Product Manager for Urban Racing. He wrote the physics engine to handle car movement, collision detection, and collision response. He implemented code to load, display, and rotate 2D bitmaps. He also wrote the code to handle loading and playing sound effects using the WAV format.
Identity: Lost
Peter was the Technical Director for Identity: Lost. He compiled the techinical design document. He also worked on part of the game logic.
